"Okay... Your hospitality was great, if very Sheldon-Cooper-like." - Said Lucas - "The princess I'm looking for is clearly not in this castle, though, so I have to go..."
The mayor of Autumn Town was about to answer, when a man came running.
"Mayor" - he said - "Arachne is on the move again."
"Of course the problem would come about right when I was leaving... And who's Arachne?"
"She is a monstrous spider-woman with an army of semi-sentient spider beings." - Said the mayor - "She is normally content to remain in her cave, but, every once in a while, comes about with some sort of new advantage that we must overcome."
"And what does she want?" - Asked Lucas.
"To take over our cities and rule us."
Lucas smirked.
"Ah, Lawful Evil sociopath with world domination plots. Per the rules, of course. Yeah, this time? This time, lunch's on me. You see, I am not a hero. So I don't have to play nice..."
Lucas flew away on Wings, towards where the soldier had come from.
It wasn't long. Lucas jumped off of Wings and dove, flying towards the mass. She landed in front of Arachne herself, who led the charge.
"And the entrance is made!" - Said Lucas, cheerfully - "How goes? Holy cow, you look like a D&D; character. LOLTH, no less!" - Said Lucas.
"Who are you?" - Asked Arachne, simply, having guided a large part of her army while leaving her new daughter back in her den - "And I now am Lolth."
"I am the Angel of Chaos. And nice, all righty, then, you're Lolth, I always wanted your head on a platter after a follower of yours screwed my character over in a game! BUT! I know that the gods aren't bad. Heck, even Ares. So, who are you?"
"THE GODS???" - The spider-woman shrieked. "What do you know about the gods???"
Lucas smirked.
"Touched a nerve, did I? Yes, I know the myth of Arachne... And, if it's actually true as spoken, which I sorta doubt, I sympathize. Still, what do these people you're attacking have with it again? Answer carefully, Arachne or Lolth. Your life may well depend on it."
"Are you here on behalf of the gods?" - Asked Arachne.
"I'm here because I come and go where I please, Arachne. I'm here, right now, in front of you, because, gods or no gods, you're trying to attack cities filled with innocent people. And I'm here because I decided you will not do so."
"I decree what people do or not! I weave the fates in this world!" - Shouted Arachne.
"Oh, how adorable! She weaves fates! Awww! How CUTE!" - Said Lucas, smiling as if Arachne had said she managed to go to the bathroom on her own - "I believe you, bitch, I really do, so, if you can weave fates, you likely can see the threads as well. Why don't you take a long, hard look at mine?"
Arachne paused as she looked.
None. And, in fact, there was the destruction of any threads at her sword.
"Retreat."
"Good call." - Said Lucas, curtly.
"This is not over, angel." - Said Arachne.
"Indeed it isn't. It will likely end with your humiliation or worse. But not here. Not now. Not today. Not without your entire bunch of grunts poised to attack a city if you aren't there to prevent them. Leave, Lolth."
"I will have your power yet, angel."
"No, you won't. The rules of this world prevent it and so do the rules I decided to follow. Now get going. I'm sure you have pressing business not testing me to see how far you can go before I forget myself and chop off one of your legs."
Arachne/Lolth left without another word.
