"Exposure to the rays of the green sun mutates people into goblins," explained the reporter, who was safe inside a studio. "Our reporters have confirmed this through ... firsthand experience."
A blonde reporter with a microphone appeared on the screen beneath the words "Earlier This Morning." She pointed up at the green sun with her free hand. Her skin appeared to be green, but that was because of the unusual light. All of a sudden she started to giggle. She stopped a moment but then giggled again, at a much higher pitch. Her clothes suddenly seemed far too big on her so she pulled them off as she quickly shrank to only 3 feet tall, but her breasts certainly stayed the same and proportionally her hands and feet remained huge by normal 3 ft tall human standards. Her skin started to take on a greener hue, obvious even in the green light, as her eyes turned pitch black. Her ears grew long and pointed and she watched still giggling as her fingernails thickened on her proportionally large hands. The final changes started to take place as her nose lengthened and her teeth sharpened. Finally her hair turned a greasy black.
Her crew had undergone similar transformations. They had dropped their equipment on the ground. A tripod mounted camera continued to film their activities as newly nude goblins started organising blissfully unaware of the life they had just left. The camera cut to "An hour later" showing the same tilted camera filming the goblins making clothes out of patched together cloth, but then one goblin unexpectedly kicked the camera, cutting the feed.
"What are we going to do?" asked Jon's father Mark Madison. "We can't hide in here forever. Those goblins outside can hunt or scavenge, but we need food. There's enough in the refrigerator to last us ..." Mark looked at his wife.
"One day," stated Linda Madison. "I was supposed to go shopping today! But if I leave, I'll ... change ..."
Jon ran up the stairs back to his bedroom. If the stone somehow changed the world, he thought, maybe it can change it back!
