"Exposure to the rays of the pink sun seems to cause a people to deevolve," explained the reporter, who was safe inside a studio. "Our reporters have confirmed this through ... firsthand experience."
A blonde reporter with a microphone appeared on the screen beneath the words "Earlier This Morning." She pointed up at the pink sun with her free hand. Her skin appeared to be pink, but that was because of the unusual light.
"After an hour outside, Beverly was starting to act rather strangely. She was having trouble concentrating, and started to forget what she was doing. The first stage appears to be a gradual entrance into a childlike state. We tried to get her to come back inside at this point, but she didn't respond."
"Fortunately, our cameraman had set up the camera on a tripod, and we were able to catch more, after they became nonresponsive." They cut ahead to an image of the blond reporter, clothing dirty and covered in grass stains, foraging through the bushes, apparently in search of food.
"The authorities are advising people to stay indoors until sundown. It has been determined that only direct exposure to the sun causes these effects. The President has declared a state of emergency..."
Jon ran up the stairs back to his bedroom. If the stone somehow changed the world, he thought, maybe it can change it back!
