Max had put on her shirt again, trying her best to cover up her more... unusual attribute.

While a catgirl transformation was relatively common (Though there was still a lot of debate on how common certain changes were) Having extra breasts relative to human norms was still quite a rarity. Jon wasn't sure she saw anyone like that at school yet. With the shirt on, it was difficult to tell she had the extra flesh. Jon knew only after the fact. Still a very observant person would be able to tell...

"This is Max," the slug girl introduced.

The drow boy smiled. "Hi, I'm Tim"

Max almost freaked at seeing Karyn.. of all people. Jon was unsettling but this? She stared at her lower half with a quiet fear.

Karyn saw that look slightly hurt, but smiled. "I'm.. Karyn," she said introducing herself..

"S-Sorry Karyn. I'm really sorry. I am still getting used to the... day side." She said quietly.

Karyn looked with understanding at that point. "Ah... it's okay. You haven't been like that long then?"

"No... just a week."

"Ouch," said Tim. "Well you are certainly handling it better then most. I've heard some people are still not out of their houses after their first change." the Drow said a little sadly.

Jon shuddered. "Really?" She enquired trying not to sound like it was her fault... even though it felt like it was written all over her face.

"Sure. Well, there's still that teacher. he's never coming out of his house. I think he taught your sister?"

"Hayes, I think," said Karyn. She used to be taught by him.

"Yep... I don't know what he's turned into, but from what they say in school, he's not coming back."

"He was a good teacher," said Karyn. He always sprinkled humour into his teachings... it was hard to believe he would give it up. So many would miss out.

Max felt a little better. She wanted to go out to get some new clothes for her new... state. But these people seemed nice. Maybe she could go with them. "Jon said.. you were all going to the book store? Can I come?"

"Sure!" Said Tim enthusiastically.

It was just a short walk as they entered the open shop.

Jon looked around. This place smelled a little plasticy to her, which was surprising. She guessed it had to do with the way the books were treated. She could still smell what would remind her of a library. Leather bound books seemed to be the most pungent even if they were the rarest here. But something... something here smelled old. Really old...

"So what are you after?" Asked Karyn.

"I guess I would like to find something on my new biology," Said Jon. Though she wasn't really sure. There was another vague goal in her mind, but she couldn't say it with Tim around.

Tim was already going towards the programming books. Not wishing to separate yet they followed him with Max behind them.

"Hm..." Tim mulled over a few of them.

"What are you looking for?" Asked Jon.

"Oh, just browsing. I'm not a programming wizard... but I've had some modest success ages ago." He smiled finding one book he wanted. He then decided to browse the store with Max, talking and getting to know her.

Jon got paired up with Karyn. Karyn took out a cook book, while Jon was still browsing around.

"So what made you come here?" asked Karyn.

"I... guess... it's silly... but I was wondering if there was possibly any information here... on... " she glanced making sure nobody was hearing them. "You know.. the stone. Or even maybe, the other three artefacts."

Karyn nodded. "Not really likely... if books on it existed... well... they would probably be locked up. Not mass produced..." Karyn thought the internet would be a better place to search for something like that. Even if it was unlikely.

Jon nodded. "I know.. silly idea... still..." she had a hope there would still be something here. Jon looked at the desk but was surprised to find nobody there... oh wait. She was tiny... very tiny. a pixie?

"Hello, can I help you?" asked the pixie girl.

Jon's jaw dropped. "Er... I'm... looking for... a book about... the supernatural?"

The fairy giggled. "I think you'll find it under Natural studies now... Oh- wait actually..." She stared at Jon a long moment. "Something came in for you."

Jon looked stunned. "I... didn't order anything." She must have her mixed up with someone else.

The pixie shrugged. "I received a letter, saying someone with your description was going to come here. There's a letter with it too... here you go." With a .. very unusual strength, the pixie gave the book to Jon. There was a letter. by the smell Jon knew this was 'real' paper. It was thousands of years old... yet seemed not to have aged quite so much, as if special care was taken of it. The book itself seemed to have a strange lock on it, binding the pages.

The slug girl looked curiously, and opened the note... It was written in a very strange cursive handwriting.

"Give this to Brittany" Jon read.
