I watched as he leaned back with his arms folded behind his head. He was purposely pushing his junk out on display. "Of course it is. I'm actually the strongest guy on the continent. Brett doesn't count since he is a fairy." he said with a smirk. Maroon just rolled his eyes. He though he was playing around. "There's no way a human can be stronger than a PEP unit." Paul and I shared a knowing look. "Yeah buddy, you believe that if you want." he said as he gave Maroon a friendly pat on the ass. It made him tilt his head, but he did not say anything. We then left the lab. "So you got a girlfriend?" I asked. He nodded and said "Yeah. Two of them. There's a scrapper chick with a green mohawk and a banging body. We have an infinite supply of parts so it's not hard to get her to like me with enough gifts. The other one is a cyborg. Calls herself Eliza. Tall, long black hair, red lips with an hourglass shape. I pretend I don't know what she is. I just fuck her and 'find some resources missing in the morning'. It is great. You should try it too. I guess I could. Brett made no secret of going out fucking NPCs.
Even if I wasn't too sure whether or not I wanted children yet, so being with a female cyborg would not hurt. "I'll see when I'm out on the town." I said. First things first, if it was already open, I wanted to check the dojo out. Paul and Maroon came with me without me having to say a word. We saw Sparks and he was looking at the concrete floor covered in a really durable looking foam. "I guess this is where you would fight if you wanted to try a new move or equipment out. It looks pretty cool." I said. "Not as cool as the garden. That was awesome." Paul said. I had to agree. Alexis was still looking at it with confusion. We just left him to his thoughts. Watching a spar would be nice but there was noting aside from the guns we had made and X-frames themselves. I doubted they would want to scuff them up over a silly whim. A gun fight in the big dojo would be entertaining. There was a large space and nothing was going on. I got bored and decided to leave. Alexis was finally ready to talk to us. He pointed at the sand and said "My sensors are reporting this is a garden, but I see sand and minimal plants."
Frankly, the concept of a sand garden was actually beyond his comprehension. "Your sensors are not wrong. This is a sand garden. It is maintained to give the owners and the preparers peace of mind." I said. He just looked at me blankly. "What use is 'peace of mind' for a PEP unit? We take solace in coming closer to our goals. This is simply a waste of space." he said. I guess cyborgs and humans really were very different. Then again, this was the default setting for the garden. There must have been some purpose, unless the point was that it be a waste of space until it was changed out. I would have to consider what to do later. I was going to take Paul's advice and look for a date. When I got to the top, I saw Brett and Red approach. "We saw the note. Alex and Alexis are back, huh?" Brett said. I nodded. "They're down there. If you ask them, they will let you take a closer look." I said before I left the lounge and walked out of the depot. I walked to the park and looked around for someone. Eventually, after an hour I found a cyborg of average height, black shoulder length hair and indigo eyes.
