Now that they were safe, they were like the cats that ate the canary. "We got something interesting yesterday." Alexis said. Since they liked to do missions together, they got multiples of the same things. "After taking down her and that bigshot from that syndicate, we were able to get blueprints for an X-frame." Alex smirked. "Not just that, but we got a 2 for 1 special. The general blueprints and the chassis." Alexis added. The other cyborgs in the back that heard that came over. They wanted to see it just like I did. Red, Maroon and Katie crowded us. They wanted to see them. It was obvious why. Alexis and Alex were almost halfway to the endgame. PBJ Crew had an infinite amount of money and resources. We just needed to spend the time building things. If they headed to the Foundry, they could have the basic exoskeleton and the chassis ready. They were blueprints for XF-06Mx. There were many types of damage an X-frame could specialize in: impact, pierce, heat, cold, water, wind, electric, erosion, radiation, toxic, sonic, magnetic and void. The "M" referred to a male exoskeleton.
Of course, there were female exoskeletons as well. XF-06Mx meant it would not only be a male X-frame that specialized in wind damage. The small "x" meant that it was a special variant. Fighting that syndicate boss was a really good idea after all. I asked them if they found the other blueprints at the library. They shook their heads. "We were told this was a special boon for taking that syndicate head out. No one else has it yet." Alexis said with a puffed out chest. That was a good and bad thing. It was good because no one was going to have one as good as the one we had. It was bad because, every single time it was used, it would link straight to us. The other of the downsides was that there was no sure fire way to find the blueprints for the neurooptics or the systems needed to operate it. Red and Maroon were practically drooling over the blueprints. We had the PEP lab opening up on the second sublevel soon. I wondered if we could research the other parts. That would be great. I was not going to get my hopes up for it though. We had better things to be spending time on. I left them all.
I still had to pick up the taxi that we had left at the scene of the crime. I walked over like I did the night I followed Emil. The apartment building was surrounded. Both the police and the Anarchy Assembly goons were there. There was a police barricade to keep the general public out as they investigated. It had already been a day. They must have been looking for more clues. I stood around to gawk with the rest of the public. Some of the NPCs were the type to gossip and speak ill of the dead. "I know that this might sound a bit harsh, but someone has to say something. That woman was always a freak. No one can she liked the 'borgs, but she took it to a new level. All of those book smarts went and made her crazy. She would lug a head around or come home covered in their blood." a woman with a circle of other gossipers around her said. The women around her nodded their heads in agreement. It looked as though no one would actually miss her. That was good. Less people to try and get revenge for this. I was debating whether or not I wanted to join in when someone grabbed my shoulder.
