Karyn frowned. "Mikey?"
Jon stared at her. He'd completely forgotten to check on his little brother. Was he gone too? He was about to respond when he heard a female voice from behind him.
"Hey, guys."
"Hey, Janelle," Karyn said.
Jon whirled around and saw an attractive black girl standing there, smiling at him. She was dressed in a cheerleading uniform...and he'd never seen her before in his life.
"Something wrong, Jon?" 'Janelle' asked, her brown eyes filled with concern. He wasn't used to seeing concern from anyone in a cheerleading uniform.
"He didn't sleep well last night," Karyn said, covering for him.
"Oh. Sorry," she said to him. "I guess that means you aren't up for the mall this afternoon?"
"No," Jon said.
"Okay," she said. "Hope you feel better. I'll see you guys later, okay?" She headed off.
Karyn rounded on him. "You're kidding me?! Her too? Janelle Carter and I have been friends since Girl Scouts. Are you positive you didn't wish something was wrong with you? Because the rest of the universe seems perfectly fine to me."
"Karyn...if I'd ever seen her before...I'd remember," Jon said, seriously.
"I just want you back to normal..." Karyn said. "Even if it is me who isn't normal." She paused. "You remember the hair and breasts wish, right?"
"Yeah?"
"I've noticed some changes in my life because of it. My family looks similar, but...we have a bunch of old family photos on the wall...there's this old picture of my gramma, the one that died before I was born. She's...stacked now."
"Well, the big breast genes had to come from somewhere," Jon said. Oddly, Karyn's breasts seemed like more comfortable ground than one...no two missing family members.
