As we were getting on the ships, there were also professional sailing crews and builders. That was help when we got to a foreign shore. We were going to need a place of for some shelter whenever we got off the ships. Just as the Archbishop Holgen was about to christen the lead ship. Several knights with shiny iridescent heavy armor approached. "It's the Sages!" one of the Players said. I looked at them closer. Paul tried to play it off, But Brett took a very suspicious step back. I seriously hope no one noticed that. The leader stepped forward and said "We have reason to believe that there are Devils among your ships. You will allow us to search each of them from top to bottom." "That seems highly irregular. You have no right to stop the matters of the Church of the Sky, or any Church for that matter." He turned and was about to christen the ship when another grabbed him. "You need to listen when someone talks to you." he said with a sadistic grin. The archpriest yelped in pain as his arm was wrenched behind his back. "Fine! You can search! Just be quick about it!" he caved to pain.

That was when an arrow flew in and pierced Archbishop Holgen's skull. He died instantly. All of the witnesses screamed and those not on the ships began running in all different directions. All the NPCs on the boat had multiple reactions. The civilians were all terrified. The fighters went into combat mode searching for the culprit from the deck. The crew looked confused on what to do. I shouted at the crew to set sail "We're sitting ducks here! We got to go now!" I shouted. That got the captain to spring into action. The preparations were already done. They were just waiting for the formal christening. After we got on the move, the others began to go as well. The knights that were from the Sages both wanted to go stop us, but there was also a Devil in the city. The six had to split in half. There were four ships and we were in the lead of the group. It was too late to actually stop us. While they were all pretty powerful, not even the Sages could stop the flow of the river. The last one was still close enough to their docks to be jumped on. That was what they did. There were no Devils on that ship.

Clearing the docks was an important first step. We then had to navigate the river to clear the other countries. We had stocked up enough to make it past the continent in peak comfort. It was said to be enough to take care of everyone "until we reach our destination". It was a bit vague, but I guessed that was the games way of saying we did not need to worry about it. I decided to spend most of my time with Paul and Brett. They were both enjoying themselves. With the fact that they were getting away with being Devils and all, it was an accomplishment. It was also a bit on fun seeing the two spit game at the NPCs. Brett was openly bi, so it was not surprising when he just casually sat on the lap of a militiaman from the Nimbus Order. I remembered that he was the one that was looking at the other's junk. The young man immediately went red and his hands jolted. I wondered how he could tell. If it was just up to some "gaydar", that would be crazy as it was an NPC. I asked Paul and he shrugged. "We have been around the town and seen what some of them have been getting up to." he said.
