Father Jones saw me loitering and approached. "If you're going to roam about the church, you might as well make yourself useful, 'taur." he said in a scolding tone. I just turned to him and asked what he wanted me to do. "The Sky cathedral in the High district needs some extra hands. They are setting up a soup kitchen. Go over there and help." he instructed. I nodded and went over to the High district. This was where the administrative buildings and the shops the nobles liked were stationed. I had to go there before to get my citizenship. Since the main denizens of the area were wealthy humans, I had to prepare myself for a lot of racism. Almost immediately, I was stopped by some guards asking about my intentions. I told them and they had no reason not to let me through. They did say they would keep an eye on me though. I did not care. When I got to the cathedral, I saw there were 3 clerics and 5 monks setting up the stalls. I approached and they looked warily at me. "We're not ready yet. We are still setting up. Come back in an hour." one said to me. I told them Father Jones sent me.

Very discreetly, they looked at each other. The eldest among them shrugged and the one that had dismissed me gave me a list of tasks. I had to buy all the ingredients in the market, bring them over, wait for them to cook it, and then help serve it to people that came by. I had a feeling that I was not getting reimbursed for my efforts. I just went to the market to get the ingredients. There were merchants of all races, so it was not hard to get what I needed for the cathedral. When I brought it over, the clergy roughly snatched it while they told me to sit and wait. There was nothing else I could do since I did not have any skills in cooking. It took a long while, but the aroma from the food was really good. A monk came and gave me a bowl of stew. "You need to eat this in front of the people. People want to know that the food they are getting is edible at the very least." he said. I agreed that it would be a good thing for public relations. I took the bowl and ate it in front of the waiting crowd. Mostly, it was just poor humans that came up, but there was also some elves and dwarves of various types too.

There were no demihumans in line. They were probably not welcome in the High district. I got behind the counter and helped getting the food to the people. During all my time, I saw the bandits that stopped me on the road. The three that fucked me wanted to chat, but the monks hurried them along. When everyone had eaten their food, I was dismissed by the clergy. That was the fourth mission towards the initiation questline. As I left the High district to get back to the church, I got called out. I looked around to see who it was. Shayne, Korey and Tristan were waving and smirking at me. I walked over and said hello. "So, you work with the church, huh?" Shayne asked me. I told them that I was trying to get in the Church of the Sky. They raised eyebrows at me. "You want to join up with them?" he scoffed. Korey just shook his head and said "You don't need to go with them. Join us in the Church of the Rivers." Tristan smirked and said "Or just be an agnostic mercenary. You're not from here anyway. Why do you even care about stuff like that?" "If I want to be a paladin, I need to join a church." I said.

I did want to have access to the features of the advanced classes. Because I was level 51, I was able to to allocate the skill points as I saw fit. Paul opened and filled the entire Mount tree. I unlocked the end of the Athletics tree to get more strength, stamina and speed. I also went into the Two Handed weapons to increase my damage, crit rate and agility with my sword and other two handed weapons. Smithing was maxed out too. I wanted to be able to create master weapons for me and my children. It would be great to have them do great things with the weapons. I looked at the bandits and smirked. "Want to go to a tavern?" I asked them. They nodded and we went there together. After drinking, they got a bit handsy. "Hey. You got a place we can go to? I got pent up and I wanna get rid of the tension with you." Tristan said with a very husky voice. Korey and Shayne looked like they were down to join in. I smiled and led them to my house. It was easy to let them fuck me. I barely felt it and their opinion of my raised a bit. When they were all finished up, I asked if they needed anything for me.
