Placing the coffee in the cup holder he switched on the engine. He tuned in to a chat show where the girls hosting were currently talking about housekeeping tips.
He got to the Department of Motor Vechicles just as they opened and waited his turn to renew his driver's license. There were several people waiting to do that this morning.
When it was finally his turn, he handed his paperwork to the employee and stood in front of the camera as instructed. A few minutes later, he slipped his new driver's license into his wallet, turning the old one in.
Afterward, he headed to the bank, and after a long talk with one of the people there, he had to redo all of his paperwork. Their records were all mixed up for some reason.
This took ma while, and after it got sorted, he took the manager's recommendation that he change all his passwords and pin codes just to be safe. They would arrange to overnight some replacement credit cards as well.
He smiled, thanking the man for his help and headed off again.
