The two girls walked in silence the rest of the way until they reached Jon's house.
"Mom! I'm home!" Zoe announced as she entered the house. To Karyn's surprise Jon came into the hall from the living room.
"Hi honey!" He replied. "How was your day?" He asked her.
Karyn stared at Jon. He was wearing makeup and jewelry...and the jeans he was wearing were definitely women's jeans.
Zoe was oblivious. "We had tryouts...we're going to meet first thing tomorrow to decide who the top three are...maybe ask them back for more...And I'm trying to talk Karyn into trying out."
Jon smiled. "Hello, Karyn," he said, oblivious to the fact her jaw was practically on the ground. "I haven't seen you in what seems like ages."
