It was Kyla Leeson one of the school nerds. She was hanging out in a corner of the store with a group of friends that Tiffany didn't recognise. They appeared to be engrossed in a board game of some kind. Intrigued Tiffany headed over to them.
"Uh, hi Kyla." Tiffany said shyly.
Kyla turned and blinked a few times, confused. "Hi...ummm..."
"Tiffany, we go to school together."
"Tiffany...Sanders?" Kyla said, cautiously. It couldn't be...it had to be a cousin or something...
"Yes...I...didn't think you remembered me," she said. "What are you doing?"
"We're playing Settlers of Catan."
"What's that? Can I play?"
"You can sit and watch....and maybe come in next time," Kyla said.
One of the boys with her smiled. "You can sit next to me."
