(Author's note: I just don't see Sarah admitting she swapped bags...She, even while changing, seems the type to turn it on Karyn.)
"I do try. And I like your outfit. You look so...relaxed in it. I think you've found something that suits you."
"Thank you" Sarah replied. She said goodbye and then started heading towards her next class when Karyn bumped into her...distracted as she still was.
"Oh sorry Karyn, I didn't see you there" Sarah said apologetically.
"That's OK..." Karyn trailed off as she processed what she was seeing. Karyn was dressed...in the clothes Karyn had bought yesterday. There were some minor changes...but Sarah was dressed like her...
"Hey, that's the top that I picked out yesterday," Sarah said.
Karyn blushed. "We switched bags yesterday, and I couldn't resist trying it on. Do you mind if I keep it? I'll pay you back for it."
"Keep the whole bag," Sarah said. "I couldn't resist trying on your clothes. I think they look great on me..."
Karyn frowned. Sarah's stuff was much more expensive than what she'd bought. It was all designer. "Are you sure? This isn't usually your kind of thing."
"Well, I like it now. And that top looks great on you, by the way. Why don't you keep my bag? We'll call it even."
"I guess.." Karyn said.
"So what are we doing this afternoon?" Sarah asked.
"You want to hang out again?" Karyn asked. Sarah nodded. "Well I was going to see if Jon wanted to go to the movies but apparently he's going to a spa with that Miss Fine woman. Something is going on there..."
Sarah frowned. "Like what? Miss Fine wouldn't do anything wrong. She's great."
Karyn paused. "I guess it's just weird...hopefully Jon will come to his senses soon.
Sarah nodded again. "How about I go instead?" Sarah suggested. "We had fun yesterday, didn't we?"
"What about your friends?" Karyn asked.
Sarah smiled. "Right now, Karyn...you're my only real friend...they are too busy judging me for wanting to try something different."
Karyn nodded...feeling awkward. She kept waiting for the other shoe to drop with Sarah, but it hadn't yet.
