Zoe did a double-take in his direction, and just for a moment there seemed to be a sign of recognition, but then it was gone. And it was like they were strangers again.
She frowned and walked over to him. "You're...Jim, right?"
"Jon," he said. "Jon Madison. And you're Zoe..."
"Shepard," she said. "I just had the weirdest feeling that we'd met before."
Jon looked at her thoughtfully. Maybe he could help her remember. "We do go to the same school."
Zoe frowned as well. She'd had the oddest feeling for a moment there. She needed to know why. Was it a message from above trying to tell her something about this boy? If so, what was the message?
