Tina tried to think of who they were talking about. Did she know someone named Jon? She supposed that they could have been referring to Jon Madison. But she'd have to agree with the voices. There was nothing special about him.
In fact, he was the most ordinary boy she knew. Not too athletic, not too geeky. Not popular or unpopular...just...average.
They said he'd ended up here twice, and they'd had to wipe his memories twice. If she got home...what if she didn't remember this?
She had an idea. She kept repeating his name to herself in her mind. Hopefully, when she woke up from this nightmare...he could tell her what was going on.
She turned a corner looking for a better hiding place and froze. Another person was lying on a gurney. Unknown to Tina, it was one of the Meadows family. The Workmen had taken them all.
