But was Karyn somewhere in this warehouse? Or had she not been taken yet? Maybe if she hadn't been kidnapped by the workmen yet, he could do something stop it from happening. Maybe it was fortunate for him that he found Tina. It gave him a heads up to something that will happen to his best friend. He already lost his sister. He wasn't going to let the same thing happen to Karyn.
So was Karyn still in bed at home, or had she been taken by the workmen already?
He couldn't be sure. They'd taken Zoe and not returned her till the next night. It might be whatever they did required the day of preparation. That probably meant Karyn was safe for now.
There was too much attention around Tina to make a rescue possible. But they weren't coming for Karyn yet. He had to get back from wherever this warehouse was and hide her before they came.
He went back to where he'd started. The mist he'd come through seemed to still be there, but it seemed to be fading. He was afraid if he didn't go now...he would be stuck here till the next day.
He made a quick decision...
