Lauren O'Brien had briefly been the head cheerleader after Melissa had become a nerd. But she had lost the uniform that had defined her. Now she was wearing a yellow sundress that looked like nothing in her closet.
Jon worried that soon his world would be unrecognizable. Things were getting progressively worse.
He seemed to have taken Zoe's place...at least in the sense he dressed like her, and seemed to have a short fuse that he had to keep under control. But everything else was different.
It was the same way with everyone else, and kept changing. "Can I use your bathroom?" Jon asked Gladys suddenly. Maybe the stone was still upstairs.
"Sure..." she said. She still seemed confused about how she'd gotten here.
He pushed past her and up the stairs, entering his...his room?
It was the same room, but everything else was different. It was like someone else had moved in.
"What are you doing in my room?" A voice said from behind him.
He turned around. It was Tiffany Sanders....except she wasn't dressed in her usual way. "I was looking for the bathroom," he lied, turning around. "Wrong door."
"Who are you?"
"Jon...from school," he tried.
She seemed to blink, which he'd learned indicated something was changing. "You're that cute Goth girl..." she said.
Jon blushed suddenly. She thought he was cute and not a freak...? Then suddenly, he realized what he was thinking. It was just so nice for someone to see him as a person. He tried to focus.
"What are you doing in my bedroom?"
