Jon stepped out of the car, and walked up to the house and knocked on the door, uncertain of what he'd find behind it.
The door opened, revealing Zelda Whitefield, one of Zoe's friends. She was a cybergoth.
Zelda blinked at her friend's brother in front of her, dressed like a typical teenage girl.
Jon looked back at her. "I...umm...forgot my bag," he said.
Zelda was in an odd daze, feeling as if she was having a familiar conversation, yet she was certain that no cross-dressing boys had come to her door before. She would have remembered that. But she looked around and saw a bookbag sitting next to the door. "Isn't that it?"
"Yeah. Thanks, Jon said. He grabbed it and turned around, walking toward the car.
Zelda looked after him, rather confused. She spotted Zoe sitting in the driver's seat outside. Zoe waved a polite wave in her direction.
Zoe doesn't have a driver's license, Zelda thought.
