Eight year old Wesley Meadows was spending the day at home. The elementary school had a half day, and all the younger kids were out. The high school kids had no such luck that day.
The phone rang, and he picked it up.
"This is an automated message from Lake Point High School. Your child, Lorraine, was not in class this morning."
Wesley laughed. That was funny. Lorraine was his mother's name. He looked down, and blinked. He was wearing a dress that looked not unlike his mother's. He'd better call her. This made no sense.
He dialed her cell phone quickly. It went to voicemail."It's me..." he said. "Where are you? I got this message that said you weren't in class. I wasn't sure what it meant..."
Lorraine was at the store picking something up for her son when her phone beeped, indicating she had a message. Why hadn't she heard the phone ring? She went to listen to the message. "It's me..." it started.
She blinked, confused. Class...but... She looked down. She was wearing jeans and a t-shirt...what happened to her dress?
She had better get home and sort this out. She started out of the store and crossed the street, and was passing in front of a hotel when she suddenly spotted a group of women. "Oh, my god...you're my favorite band..." she exclaimed.
