"Of course, darling, of course. Thank you for giving me a taste of your talent. Go and get changed, and we can start introductions in earnest when you're done. The bathroom is down the hall and on your left. I'll be waiting here."
"Thanks," Nathan said, standing and heading down the hall.
Finding the bathroom, he slipped out of the modest outfit and into something more flattering, and returned to the room. "I think you'll find I'm a very dedicated method actor. When I slip into a role, I become that person."
Daria looked amused. "A good acting method. Where were you trained?"
"The school of life," Nathan said, sitting back down in the chair. "I'm looking for a fresh start. A new career."
"You don't look old enough to have had an old career."
"I was in...the family business," he said. "I wanted to be my own person."
Daria looked intrigued. She wondered what she might be able to do with Nathan. Certainly talented, from what she saw...but there was an odd slyness to it...as if even now, Daria couldn't tell if this was the real Nathan, or another act.
