Back at the new Wilson house, Nathan's mind had become more focused, though emerging facts and details of his life certainly weren't true before. His body had changed some as well, growing younger and more feminine.
"So, your name is Nathan Brown?" Daria said.
"Er... yes," Nathan said, sheepishly.
"I see. And you are from around here, you just said?"
"That's right. 324 Prince Street," Nathan said.
Daria raised an eyebrow. "Is that so?"
"Y-yes ma'am," Nathan stammered.
Daria looked over Nathan once more, then burst out laughing. "My, you are good! You had me going there for a second, with the whole shy first timer routine."
Nathan shrugged, then allowed himself to revert to his new natural posture, which was more confident and overtly feminine than it was before. "Sorry about that. I figured I would try and give you a taste of what I could do, pull the wool over your eyes. I'm guessing my mistake was trying to go local. Is this one of those towns where everyone knows one another?"
"There's no harm, darling, it was quite impressive, really. And to answer your question, no, I certainly don't know everyone in town. You just happened to pick the exact address of the Leers, who happen to be friends of mine."
"Well drat. I just picked a house randomly on my way here from the hotel," Nathan said, picking up a bag by his chair that wasn't there before. "Mind if I get changed. This isn't really my usual style, to be honest."
"Of course, darling, of course. Thank you for giving me a taste of your talent. Go and get changed, and we can start introductions in earnest when you're done. The bathroom is down the hall and on your left. I'll be waiting here."
"Thanks," Nathan said, standing and heading down the hall.
