"You're safe," Sorrow said.
"What do you mean, safe?" Alana said. "Did you get rid of them?"
"No," Sorrow said. "I just...talked to them. Encouraged them to loosen up." She gestured to the door. "Take a look for yourself."
Alana peeked out, and saw her parents making out. A few feet away, Angelique was tuning up her guitar.
She suddenly froze. While her identity had changed to become more rebellious, as she was in flux when Sorrow encountered her, Sorrow had completely suppressed all of her inhibitions. No subliminal suggestion lasted forever, and the shock brought back the ones she still had.
She stared at them, then at Sorrow. "What the fuck did you do to them?" She said, a temper she hadn't had before meeting Sorrow, one inherited from her new mother, flaring up.
