"Kendall was able to make contact with us, but only so much, before he began to lose himself to the phenomenon," Agent Willis explained, as he began to walk with the general into the base. "He says that we're dealing with a Class 4. So what we need you to do is quarantine the town. Make sure that no one enters and no one leaves. Until we can find a way to fix whatever has happened, we can't let this phenomenon expand any further."
The general nodded. "I'll have my men get on that right away."
"We need a cover story...one that won't make the news...after it is fixed...that won't matter," Willis said. "The military sealing off a community...if the media gets involved...this could turn disastrous."
"So far, I've had men on the main roads, from what we can tell, people are going in, but people aren't coming out of their own free will. It may be whatever force is doing this is motivating them to stay home," The General said. He wasn't an expert, or even a novice, but he knew enough to make deductions.
"It would. These things are like magnets...people are drawn to them, and find reasons to avoid getting out of their range."
"I'd better make the call," the General said. "You'll have our full cooperation, of course. We also need a story for the men...This should be need to know."
