He looked back and forth between the bearded man(a writer or director maybe?) and Sarah/Lauren, who apparently only played the part of a bitch in his life and might be his girlfriend, trying to decide what to do.
He decided to fake it, until he could figure out what was going on. "Sure, thanks," he told the man, taking the pages. He looked at Sarah...no, Lauren he corrected himself. "Where were we going?"
She looked a bit peeved. "Maybe you're working too hard. After this wraps up, we could go away for a few days. Right now though, you promised me a night with just the two of us. Room service, a pay-per-view movie...Just doing nothing." She took his arm and escorted him outside to where a car was parked.
She, fortunately, chose to drive. He got nervous when she drove up to a nice hotel and they headed upstairs, but Lauren was being so...well, not Sarah, it put him at ease. The hotel room looked like someone was living in it, apparently Lauren. Where he would expect Sarah to, if she was his girlfriend, to flirt and fool around with him, Lauren just wanted to lie there next to him and watch a movie.
She reminded him a bit of Karyn in that regard. That reminded him of the situation. If he couldn't fix whatever had happened, what would his life be like? Everyone he knew was actually an actor...strangers who looked like friends and family. He might never see his real family again.
