Mikey took his shower. He was usually the last in the family to take a shower, but today because Jon had woken him up...again...he was taking it first. He was a bit mad at his brother and wanted a little while to not be.
As he showered, he let his mind drift back to the half-remembered dream. He didn't pay much attention to the act of showering, and thus didn't notice as he reached for Jon's shampoo as opposed to the Tear-Free Kids Shampoo Mikey still used.
He got out of the shower and took Jon's towel off the towel rack instead of his own. Finally, he used Jon's toothbrush to brush his teeth.
Meanwhile, Jon headed down to breakfast, his mother's hand firmly on his arm. She sat him down and poured him a bowl of one of Mikey's sugary cereals. He was going to protest, but she still looked upset with him, so he just ate it. He hadn't had this in a few years, and he amused himself by dunking the little puffs into the milk till it started to change color.
