Meanwhile, Jon tried to think what he could do to fix this. Where could the stone be?
He'd searched the entire master bedroom as he'd checked his room. It was nowhere to be found. Without it, he was as much a prisoner to whatever was happening as Zoe was. At least they were in it together. That comforted him, somewhat...to not be alone.
Zoe, Rick, and Jane entered the room. Zoe sat on the bed next to him. Rick and Jane initially stood next to each other, then shifted, putting Zoe and Jon between them.
"I think we should go out as if nothing happened," Jon said, finally, after a long awkward silence. He felt the need to do so...someone had to take charge. "Let's get dressed and ready."
Zoe seemed to be on the fence about that, but she deferred to him on it. Rick and Jane looked at him. "There is something wrong here, and we're going to pretend like there isn't?" Rick said.
"If you can convince me it's a better idea to hide in the house...what if things are still weird tomorrow?"Jon said.
