Victor returned with a small mirror, about the size of a sheet of paper. The Doctor stepped back, just in case, and angled the mirror so Jon could see himself...
He recognized the face in the mirror. It was his...but older. He had an unkempt beard and hair, and looked a few years older.
"You've been here since the accident, Jon. At first, your fantasies were just as if the accident never happened," the Doctor said, calmly. "But then, you started to...edit them. You changed details of your own life. You added elements, like a magical wishing rock, so that you could have a way to explain changing your life. But it is all in your head."
All in his head? That couldn't be. Jon stared at him. Then something else struck him. "What accident?"
