Now, calling the cheerleaders bimbos may have been accurate for some, but much of Zoe's perceptions of events were colored by her own opinions.
Zoe saw them as all girly bimbo prep clones, but while they had similarities, they weren't identical.
"Zoe! Like, what's wrong?" Athena asked, in her new airheaded voice.
Zoe looked at both of them. "You are...someone turned you into a fuckin' Barbie Doll," She said, angrily. She wasn't interested in trying to figure it out, blend in, or anything but her anger. Zoe's temper was...well, had been well known.
"Zoe's lost it," Sabrina said. "She's...acting like some crazy person or something."
Melissa looked at Zoe. "Zoe," she said, in a soft voice, like someone might speak to a mental patient. "Calm down...nothing has changed...except you."
"What the hell are you talking about?"
Melissa flinched. "Look...all of us agree," the girls all nodded. "Nothing is strange except you...and I can prove it."
Zoe rounded on her. "How?"
"I had my cell phone out last night," she said, pulling it out and found the video she'd made the previous evening.
Zoe's eyes bugged out and jaw dropped as she watched it, but she stayed quiet. The Zoe on the video looked like her, but that was where the resemblance ended. Other Zoe seemed to be trying to win the award for Most Perky Airhead. Zelda seemed to barely be able to figure out how to use her phone, and Athena was talking about boys.
In fact, if the video was any indication, she was well ahead of the competition. She looked around, fear suddenly visible on her face.
All of the girls cautiously approached, and soon she was being comforted by all of them. It was disturbing, but she didn't let them stop. Inwardly though, she wondered what the hell was going on...and how could she fix it?
