Gladys and Kayla woke early to go the meeting together. Kayla, who was a natural early riser before all the changes found herself making different use of her time then studying, she instead did her hair and make up, same as she knew how to do it the day before, then she went to her closet picked out a shirt, mixed it with a few skirts she had and then decided and got dressed. The last thing she did was smile and take a picture in her full length mirror, this she did on instinct. It was for her site to let everyone know how she dressed that day. The whole thing took an hour, and she looked good for it, but it was all completely new to her as well. She looked at the photo as she had a piece of fruit, feeling an odd sense of confidence in how she looked.

Gladys and Kayla entered the Cheer meeting together, the room was an odd mix, divided into two parts, on one side were girls from the cheer team before, "the Popular crowd" as they may have been, an athletic group of good looking people known for and undone by posts on twitter like "GR8T PARTY!! Don't remember a thing! #YOLO with an attached photo of a passed out girl in a bikini with a bottle of Vodka. There were a couple of them, not more than 5, the head cheerleader wasn't there, nor were any of the seniors. They were shooting razor looks at the other side of the room which contained a far different group of people.

If one side was "the popular kids" the other was "everyone else" like a united nations of the school, it was a smattering of the other groups populating the otherside. There was Athena, gothic princess who thought she was a witch or had magical powers or something, dressed as always in a black Victorian dress, which Kayla couldn't help but think would look great with some steampunk mods, that part of her which was still a nerd melding with her new fashion sensitive self. If one side of the room was shooting daggers then Athena was shooting Swords back at them, she did not seem happy to be there.

Then there was Kayrn, a Tomboy girl, this girl had every reason to be a cheerleader, blond hair, nice body, killer boobs, but she just didn't dress or act the way that one would expect a girl like that to act, it was almost like she was trying to be one of the guys to hide from those things about her which made her beautiful. Kayla felt Karyn was wasting what she would have loved to have by in her boyish way rejecting it. Karyn while clearly uncomfortable was trying to ignore the rest of the room.

Then there was a short blond girl in an outfit that said thrift store in all the bad ways, she wore glasses, no make up, and had a case of fizz head that didn't seem humanly possible. She seemed young for the room which was made of mostly Juniors, Kayla seemed to know her from one of her classes, she thought her name might be Sarah but she wasn't quite sure. The girl looked nervous and quite and shy, not what you would expect for a Cheerleader crowd.

Looking at the room Kayla couldn't decide where she belonged, she had never considered herself one of the popular crowd nor had they accepted her as one of them, though maybe that was something she had become, but there was something unmistakeably misfit about the other side of the room. She felt like she didn't fit. Gladys felt the same way, it was funny 24 hours ago she was 240 pounds and a mess, now she had nearly a six pack of abs and a goal of making state in the 400 meter dash. But she was a jock now, and didn't seem to fit with the cheerleaders or the misfits either.

They sat in the middle, near the back so not to stand out, creating a third little island of themselves.

Then Miss Holloway came in, and made all of them an offer they couldn't refuse.
