Trinity had been avoiding Zoe and Athena, as well as the rest of her circle of friends, and they could tell it. What the newly minted Trinity didn't know was that she lived in two social circles, one was the cheerleading world, and the other was the world she was more used to. It was a cruel twist of the magic to allow her to keep her old friends, yet force these new ones upon her, she was alone in the middle of Ven Diagram, being pulled on from both sides. Still there was something in Trinity that was scared to see her old friends, before she had only known them as Trevor, he had been the guy of the group, the only guy and that had set him apart, now he was one of the girls and she wasn't sure she wanted to be that, she didn't know if she fit into that role.
Her closet was full of different cloths than she thought she would have, a perfect example of the place she held in that Ven Diagram, half girly, half dark. She owned a lot of things she didn't think the other girls had, corsets, dark pixie dresses, collars, fishnets, but also a lot of things that she thought the other girls probably had, some capree pants, some pink T shirts, skirts of various styles and colors, she found a rather elegant backless white shirt which she wished came in black. Things that said "I'm a girly girl" hung right next to things that said "I'm the Dark mistress of the Midnight". Though even the darker things had a bit of a girly flare to them. So she picked out something that she thought Zoe and Athena would expect her to wear, the dark stuff and only the dark stuff. Then she got in her dad's car and went to pick them up. She was shocked at what she found when she got there.
The first thing she noticed was Zoe's hair, which was light brown and not black. The second thing was the lack of scary makeup on her, and the third was that Zoe, Zoe angry goth girl with a chip on her shoulder was wearing a pink T-shirt V neck and a black ballet tutu over dark jeans, with army boots. It seems that Zoe and Trinity shared fashion sense.
"Wow Trin, laying it on a bit thick today huh?" was Zoe's response when she saw her friend.
It turned out that for Zoe having both Jen as an older sister who was into cheerleading, and Trinity who was into cheerleading as well, had caused her to take a less head on approche to her gothiness. Had mellowed her a bit too, she seemed quite excited about going to the concert, and less angry about other things. Apparently it was more normal for Trinity to do a mix and match with the light and the dark stuff, rather than pick a side. So a little shocked at how bad her first attempt at dressing like herself had been, Trinity responded.
"yeah it's been a rough week, this is what I felt like" she wasn't lying when she said that.
They then went on to Athena's house. Athena as still Athena, which comforted Trinity to no end, it was nice to have a constant factor something that wasn't going to change on her in this world. Athena came out in one of her long dresses, with dark make up, yet see too seemed more happy and excited than her normal self. It was a girls night out now and that changed the dynamic, it made it feel like more of an adventure. Trinity felt herself fitting in with her friends, found herself looking at them with admiration and laughing with them as they enjoyed the show. There was something about the lead singer than she was drawn to a sort of mysterious factor that she was fasinated by. Zoe said something to this affect and Trinity found herself agreeing and falling into girl talk with the guys. Athena who now had more of a role as the oddball of the group, prefered the drummer, and had cursed in latin when she didn't catch one of the sticks he threw into the crowd. At this Zoe and Trinity both laughed, there was something funny about her level of darkness when compared to the rest of the group now. It didn't fit in quite as well.
The girls drove home that night singing as loud as they could with the radio turned out, laughing and having a great time. Trinity really felt like she was apart of something, though she couldn't say exactly what that might be.
