Suddenly Delia found herself walking around the shops in the outdoor mall in the nice part of town. It as if she had been going about her day the whole time, one moment she was in a house making a wish, the next she was here, mid stride, a purse on her side and her hair bouncing as she walked. She caught a glimpse of herself in a shop window, she had changed, it was hard to see in detail in the faint reflection, she still held parts of herself in her reflection, but it was all much improved. Also her dress and purse were of much higher quality than they had been and her hair had been cut and colored, accenting her face in new ways. She was nearly herself, if she had been Sarah McMillian or one of her friends.

As if on cue Sarah appeared. "Oh I like that dress, want to try it on later? Could be good for prom."

Delia hadn't noticed the dress, which was gold and black, their school colors.
"Oh Hi, yeah, that sounds great!" Delia responded, her surprise at seeing Sarah clouding her thoughts for the moment. She felt oddly enthusiastic about trying on that dress, an idea that she may look great in it crept into her mind.

"Oh girls! What a surprise!" They were interrupted by the voice of Mrs. Holloway.

"Hi, coach!" Sarah said

Delia wasn't sure what to say or do. Mrs. Holloway filled her with fear, would she know who she was now? Had she dodged the bullet? Would she know?

"Shopping for Prom dresses?" Mrs. Holloway asked, keeping up the conversation.

"You know it, the fashions this year are so odd, I just might have to get one made special." Sarah knew no bounds.

"You should invite some of our new recruits to join you, it might help sell being on the team to them."

"I thought giving them space for a day or two was a good idea. Let them get to know themselves."

"Oh that'll come no matter what, what matters is that they don't hate you. Call them, it'll help to make some friends early."

She turned her attention to Delia, giving her a long looking over.

"Now Sarah while you do that, me and 'Delia' need to have a little talk." Mrs. Holloway said while making uncomfortable eye contact with Delia.

"Alright, meet me inside?" Sarah said carefree.

"Sure." Delia said, the words dry in her mouth.

Sarah was already inside.

"You must be very confused right now, Delilah, allow me to explain. You made a wish, and your wish had to work within the wish that already was working, it couldn't change it, so here you are, no long Delia, and no longer a part of that group, now you are a part of mine."

Delia gave herself another look at herself.

"I changed it all so that you have always been a member of the team, a part of the old team, now one of two leftovers with Sarah, who I imagine you are now much closer with, you have a friend, isn't that nice!"

Delia noticed that she was now a bit taller, her hair and nails were done, she had been walking in heels the whole time without noticing.

"Of course some improvements come with joining our group, your family is now better off, your one of those pretty popular girls you've always wished you were."

Delia gave her a shocked look through doe eyes and blue eyeliner.

"I'm not here to make you unhappy dear. I grant wishes."

"Now there are some things I'll want in return, for one, you have to help bring the rest of the girls over to our side. And make no mistake you're on the team. I was soft with Jenny but with you well, you didn't even want to be yourself anymore....so as I said you're Delilah now, it'll all come to you in a bit, didn't want to overwhelm you with a whole new self. Think of it as waking from a dream into your new self. I think you'll like being you."

Delia just looked on in shock.

"Now do me a favor, tell me your name, and then head in and by a cute dress with Sarah."

Delia sat there in shock...

'delilah' she almost wishpered.

"You'll do splendid." And with that Mrs. Holloway was off into the crowd.

Delia stood there for a few moments, then hearing a knock at the window, turned to see her friend Sarah in a flowing white evening dress. She smiled and walked into the store for some fun and came out later with a cute dress, she had signed the credit card statement Delilah.
