Sarah was in a panic. All her life she had only wanted to be a cheerleader, and she had been given every advantage towards that by the connections of her rich family. Her life was a life without struggle, which she had yet to learn to be greatful for. This lack of struggle set her up for a shock when after joining the team, instead of cheers and community events and boys flirting (ok there was that, but not in the way she expected, this part she only minded at first. aka Sarah= not a virgin) Sarah had expected to be the queen bee, the leader, the best of them, because that was her 'rank' in her mind. She was rich and powerful and pretty, so the best right, the leader. But there were upperclassmen to deal with, an entrenched socity of partying and drug use, being a cheerleader was a way of having sex and getting high for most of the girls. It had next to nothing to do with school pride or talent and least to do with actual cheering. This had left Sarah in a strange place, she wanted the title, but she wanted it to mean something. She enjoyed the lifestlye a couple of times, peer pressure does that to people, but it wasn't what she wanted it to be.
So she blew it up. She called the cops and prayed to God for something good to come of it. She could restart, have the team she always wanted. She thought this would take hard work and might take all the next two years of school for her, but building a team might get her into a better team in college, where she could try again. Then out of the blue, came Ms. Holloway, she had never met anyone like her before, a mismash of Mary Poppins and Samantha from Bewitched, proper to a T, but with a charm and magic to her. Sarah brought her problem to her and Ms. Holloway had set about what she had set about. It was a wonder to watch her work, as if some God had seen her plight and decided to intervine. She had given her beautiful girls, all who could make an amazing team. And then they all left her. It didn't make sense, this was magic, it was supposed to make everything easier but now it was just falling apart in a new way, a way she didn't understand. Sarah didn't know what to do and she couldn't find Ms. Holloway anywhere to help. She just wanted to be a good cheerleader....
