"Sarah was acting weird..." Jen said.
"Yeah, but she was trying to get on our good side. She was trying to manipulate us, like she does to everyone." Karyn said.
"I...I don't know." Jen replied. "Something was different."
"Jen, Karyn, wait up." Delia said, running up to the pair.
"What's up, Delia?" Karyn asked.
"It's...it's about Sarah." Delia said, looking nervous.
"What about her?" Jen asked.
"I...I think..." Delia sighed, seeming to gather up her courage. "I think we should give her a chance."
"What?!" Karyn asked. "Are you joking? After what she did to us? You were hit just as bad as Jen was."
"I know, I know, but... After everyone left, you should have seen her. She really felt bad, I could tell." Delia said.
"She's lying. That's what Sarah does." Karyn said. "You heard her. She was desperate to have a team."
"And friends." Delia said. "She was hurt by her friends. They all left her. She had no one left."
Jen and Karyn looked at each other.
"I know that we shouldn't, but... I know how it feels to be left alone, so... I'm gonna give her a chance." Delia said. "And I hope you two do as well. I don't think you're cruel to hurt someone like that, even Sarah McMillan."
As Delia walked away, Jen and Karyn turned to each other.
"What do you think, Jen?" Karyn asked.
"I was thinking about it, and... what if Delia's right?" Jen asked. "What if Sarah is truly sorry."
"People don't just change like that." Karyn said.
"Unless magic is at play." Jen added.
Karyn paused, looking at her friend. "You think Ms. Holloway's magic worked on Sarah too?" she asked.
"It's possible, but there's only one way to find out." Jen said. "Let's get to my house. Quick."
