Delia was trying not to panic, but finding it hard. Her whole life was upsidedown, her father was back and this was both the greatest and most terrible thing that could happen to a girl. She had her father back and he loved her, he told her she was pretty, and she felt loved by him, a stranger to her, who had left in her other life. She should have felt revulsion at the thought of the man, but she was so happy to be his princess. WHY HAD HE NOT LEFT? was the idea that ate up her mind. Was there something wrong with Derek, was she sooooo much better as Delia? and if so what part made him stay? Was it looks, sweetness, did she cook really well and didn't know it? She had a whole good thing and she just knew she was going to mess it up. Everything felt so important since she changed, like any little thing could send all this good thing toppling down. She felt like her life was a massive drama, like her life was on air or on screen and she feared that it was a tragedy. She felt hightened all the time, but it was her daddy who calmed her and made her feel like it was going to be alright. She was his girl, and she was going to do her best to play the part of Delia if that is what it took to keep him around.

So when at the meeting Jade had said she knew things about stuff, Delia asked a lot of questions, she wanted to know who she was, this was the part of a life time. Her lifetime.
