Zoe walked back towards the school, towards Athena's house, and hopefully answers. On the way she passed Jon and Karyn, sitting on a park bench, talking.
She stopped to listen in.
"But I don't get it, Karyn, you say your the same but you're not acting like it. I want to believe it's you, but you don't like Cheerleaders or any of that girly stuff."
"Yeah, and what I'm trying to say is: NOW. I do. I like being like this." she smiled at him a prettier smile that she had allowed herself to smile before. "and i like you." she was looking at him through green eyes and a frame of golden hair with a stare that had longing in it.
She broke off the stare, "listen, wouldn't it be great if we weren't losers anymore? If we were a happy couple, if we had some success? Don't you want a life of more than just hanging out and video games? We could have the world one day if we tried for it and stopped wasting our time. I want that" she said, sitting down next to him. "I want you." And then she kissed him, a long and meaningful kiss born out of years of knowing each other, and a passion, but also out of Karyn's desire for him. She was a girl who got what she wanted.
"Can you do that for me babe?" she said after they broke the kiss.
"Sure" Jon replied. They kissed again.
"whatever has gotten into you, I like it." Jon said.
Zoe left after that, because what followed was a bunch of kissing.
