Witchcraft and magic was not universal, but common enough for it to not be a shock to anyone. "Whether or not she is a witch, she is still a human woman. I'll take care of this situation from here." I said firmly to them. They drew the weapons they had. I turned out it was a dagger and a wooden club. "Who the hell do you think you are!? I am not some servant you can talk down to." the one with the club demanded. I took the zweihänder. I took a big step and swung it. The blade arched in the air with a blur and decapitated the first one. The other still came at me. He did not get the hint that there was no way that he could win the fight. I was still unused to the heft and missed a swing with the sword. That opened me up for a blow to the head with the club. I barely did anything. I then slashed with the huge blade and cut him down in a glorious spray of blood and viscera. It was pretty gruesome, even for me. That was not the end of the fight. Other people came out of the inn and engaged me. They had weapons of all types. I took them all on and killed them all. There were ten men.
As time went on, the blade changed. The closed buds that were etched into the blade half opened after five kills. Small buds also appeared on the guard of the sword. It was pretty cool. The sword got lighter to wield as well. I chuckled to myself as I realized what was going on. After my tenth kill, the roses on the blade fully bloomed. The actual yellow roses on the guard half opened. The swings also got faster after that. Yellow had told me the weapon would only get stronger the more I killed. When I was the last one standing, Zeta asked "Are you done now, are are we going on another rampage?" I turned to the young woman at his side. "I am Canan Hawks. I saw you were in distress. What happened?" I introduced myself. She was blushing and said "T-thank you, sir. I was hungry and asked for something to eat. People here are not kind to those who can do magic. I was told they did not serve 'beggars, whores, and witches'". she said. Zeta said "They said you were cursing food. Was it true? That's a serious accusation." I only changed the food's color. I thought they'd give it to me then."
Because everyone was already dead, there was no one left to refute her. I said "There is only one way to find out. Come with me, my lady." I also took her arm and led her inside the inn. Zeta followed closely afterwards. There were only a few people left inside. I saw the food in question almost immediately. Green eggs, purple sausage, red cheese, orange wine all stuck out like sore thumbs. "If you are telling the truth that you only changed the color of these foods and drinks, it should be alright if you eat them." A look of fear flashed on her face. "I couldn't possibly... eat it all on my own." I smiled at her and said sure you can. You were just saying you were hungry and had hope they would give you the food. Take three bites of everything at least. And take a big gulp of every tankard with changed colors to wash it all down. "I'd die!" she said as she tried to break out of my grip. "No way, my lady. I assure you the worst would be an upset stomach. It's harmless food after all." Zeta and I dragged her to a table and made her sit down. The others surrounded us as well. "Eat the food witch!" they cried.
