There was more than ample time and resources. I packed them up into one of the vans and drove it over to the college. Since I was a professor, I had the full clearance to enter their underground labs. Rusty, Cheetah and the soldiers came to the college in a separate car. I took one of the more intact ones and examined the body. I ran it under a scanner to see what I was looking at. The metal plating and black silicon-like material mimicking flesh was all over the body. It came as a shock when I saw that there was actual organic material as well. The brain and spinal cord was there. The spine shaped titanium plating on the exterior of the body covered it. There was a red groinal and anal plate to cover up the anus and genitals. On the back of the neck was a four vertically pronged outlet on the back of his neck. Seeing all of the organic material they had, I could tell that these were not androids. These were cyborgs. I looked around the lab and saw that there was indeed a plug that matched the outlet. It was a while before I could find the adapter to plug into the lab's machines. I finally plugged in.
He had to be locked into the table to ensure he would not escape even if I did manage to get him back on line again. I booted up the machine and called Percy. I was a really good teammate for Construction and Capability. I could learn what the cyborgs were made of and what they could do. Percy could help me with looking at the brain side of things. I was able to see that these were the XB series of androids. They were teenage operatives that volunteered to join the cyborg program in Ocarro. Ocarro got the tech and knowhow from Ondore. XBs were for the stealth missions and not heavy duty models. Apparently those were the A-Prime models. The black silicon like material was a false flesh that was resistant to bullets. The XBs were all Adamu. The enhanced skin did not seem to stop military grade slugs or hollow point rounds. It was supposed to be able to be colored to match skin tone. These units must have been sent out on the spur of the moment. Something that was cool I had found out about them was the fact that they had the choice of having cannons or mantis blades in their arms.
Going over what I could, this one was designated XB-24 and he had the cannons in the arms. Percy came a couple of hours later. I downloaded what I could and sent it to myself. I then let Percy look over the data. Percy also took the data and saved it before poking around using his hacking equipment. Percy frowned and said "This is super encrypted and behind several firewalls. It's going to take a while." I shrugged and said "That is the cutting edge tech from Ondore at work for you." He winced and then kept going. "How long do you think it is going to take?" I asked. "It might take days." he said after staring at his screen for a few moments. "Take your time on this. I have a call to make." I said. I sent the others aside from Rusty home. I had to call my army contact. Now that I knew what happened, I needed to protect myself. Captain Whitaker of the Conion Army picked up on the third ring. "Dr. Harper. What do I owe the pleasure?" he said. I took a breathe and sighed. "I was just targeted for an assassination plot by an Ondore backed black ops team from Ocarro." I told him. There was a pause.
When I said it out loud, it certainly sounded serious. "... Repeat that doctor. I don't think I heard you clearly." I repeated myself and said "You heard me the first time, you bastard. What the hell are you going to do about this? I have some very important information and resources to give you." "Where are you!?" he asked in annoyance. "I am in the underground lab at my college. You better get here before I sell my info off. This is way too hot to keep anywhere near me right now." The captain asked "What the hell is it!? This better be good." "Get here and see for yourself." I replied before hanging up the phone. Whether or not the captain was cranky was not my concern. If we can use this to reverse engineer cyborgs, that would be great for the country. It took a full day before they were able to come here. By that time I had already calmed the faculty down and cordoned the lab off for myself. The military personnel were not too pleased to see me. I took Captain Whitaker up to the van and I opened the door to show him the bodies. My eyes widened in panic. One cyborg was missing. That was bad.
