"I've never seen you before in my life," Melissa said. She turned to the others. "Just another loser trying to be one of us," she commented.
They turned their backs to Sarah and began ignoring her. Which in a bit of irony was nicer than Sarah herself might have normally done if the roles were reversed.
She went to her locker, confused. She stood there for a moment before she noticed something strange, because she'd never seen it before.
Everyone was walking by her in the hallway and barely looking at her. Usually, people turned their heads. Some gave her a wide berth, some of the boys stared at her like a Goddess(she rather liked that), and some of the girls looked at her with envy.
She'd never given it much thought...till everyone walked past her like she wasn't a thought at all. It wasn't like she was invisible. People saw her, went around her...but it was like she was just...one of the crowd.
She stopped the next person she saw.
