I wasn't meaning to imply that your chapter was setting up a simple-fix approach, that was just in looking at alternatives. What I was saying felt contrived was the method by which Lucas and Cass were involved - it just feels weird for the god of language and herald to men to be hiring out for something so completely within his purview.
