Underneath the singular case was the crown worn by a mighty king a century ago. I lifted the heavy glass off the pedestal with my 10 in strength. I held it in my hand as I snatched up the golden crown covered with pearls and rubies. I then replaced the case. I had a general idea where the lasers were, so I was able to move out the field to safety. It was done and I set the crown down. Next was a set of royal scepters. One had two balls, another had three of them, and the rest only had one. Some had rubies and others had sapphires. One even was pure white; made from ivory and pearls. I was going to break into the larger container. I did not have the Metal Qi in this body to unlock the display case. I was going to the break it when I saw a rope fall down from the ceiling. I stopped and looked up as a young man in a full body, leather suit. The leather clung to him like a second skin. It was milk white with yellow and black rings on it. He had a white mask with feline ears on his face. It was different from transformation, so I knew he was common. He did not notice me, but came down pretty gracefully.

When he finally noticed me, he was really surprised from the way he flinched. I was in my regular appearance. He pointed at me in recognition. "I know who you are! Get away from there. I've been casing this place for three weeks. This one's mine." he hissed. I pointed at him and said "Who the hell are you? I don't need casing for shit. I took a tour today and I'm already stealing the crown!" I then pointed at the crown at the end of the hall. It made the guy pout, which was hard as he was upside down. He grabbed at the tool belt at his waist and pulled out a spray bottle. Once he sprayed it in the air, he revealed the beams for the alarm. He then unhooked himself from the rope he rappelled in from. He spun around and landed on the empty case. "I'm Leopard! I'm ranked 63 on the Gallery. I'm going to leave with these jewels and sell it to a top bidder. I don't care about what you think." he said. "I'd like to see you try." I challenges. Leopard crouched down and looked at me. He smirked before wiggling his hips and took a mighty leap. He then did a diving roll and stopped in front of me. It impressed me.

Leopard pushed me aside and leaned over to the lock he picked it and slid the glass pane. along its tracks. I reached in and took the ones with sapphires. "Hey! Give me those!" he snapped. I shook my head. "I'm taking these home with me. Go, or I'm going to set of the alarms on purpose." He blanched and said "You wouldn't!" "If you know about me, you know that I don't mind fighting cops." I shot back. He fumed before saying "Fine. I'm going for the other jewels. Stay put!" I followed what he told me as he began to unlock and steal all the jewels from the other display cases. He went for the gold crown when I shouted for him to stop. He froze and looked at me over his shoulder. "The crown is mine. I was the one who stole it. Go now or I will trip the alarms." I told him. He ignored me and went for the crown. I tripped the alarm and it blared out. It threw him off and he slipped. "What the hell did you do!?" he demanded as I ran to him. He had put the jewels in a large sack. I took it from him and he was unable to keep hold of it. I was too strong. "You can take the crown, but I'm taking these." I said.

He lunged at me but it was no use. I dropped the scepters in my hands and ran away. Leopard growled as he picked them up in his arms. He knew he had to get the loot he could and get out. He jumped on the central display case where the rope was. I jumped up with him as he was coming up. We went up much slower than he came down. "Didn't you say that you could fight off all the cops by yourself!?" he snapped at me. I shrugged and said "If you're giving a ride outside, why not take it!? Thanks for that by the way." He groaned and kept quiet until we got to the top. We swung and got onto the roof properly. I reached into the sack and gave him some more of the jewels. He looked at me quietly and took them. Just as he was about to take it, he was kicked in the chest by a caped assailant. "Stop right there, villains! Red Cape now is here to stop you!" she said. I looked her up and down for a bit. She was wearing a bodysuit with three shades of red. I ran at her and shot webs from close range. The surprise factor worked wonders and she was pinned down. I began punching and kicking her out.

She fell into critical health and was knocked out. Leopard came up to me and said "You actually took out Red Cape!? She is one of the top three heroes in the city." I just shrugged and said "But I bet she was pretty low ranked overall, right? I know heroes just starting out that are stronger than her." He just said "Last I heard, she was in the top 50." "Well, I guess you will move up in the ranks if you deal the finishing blow and kill her." I said as I moved back from her. I wanted to see what would happen if a hero died. He reached behind him for the back of his toolbelt. He took out four throwing knives and threw them at her chest. "This might be the first time a hero has died in decades." he said with excitement. She died and I saw the rankings change. I moved up three spots for the moment. Leopard went up 15. That put him at 48 and me at 24. He looked pleased and we celebrated before another hero came. We went out separate ways and escaped when the new hero saw the corpse of Red Cape. I did not mind it at all. I gave the loot to the sharkman and he took it to the lair. It was a safehouse.
