As we traveled on the road, I looked at Eta and I asked if he was okay. He looked confused and asked why I wanted to know. "You were not in great shape after the big battle. Since I am responsible for you two, I want to know you are fine." He shared a look with Zeta and the indigo warrior just shrugged. Eta then looked back at me and said "Thank you. Our master was never concerned about any of the Protectors well being. I guess we will both need to get used to that. You already know that I'm really strong. I don't need that long to recover either." I nodded and said "You were having a hard time after using the seal." He looked upset. "There was more energy than I could absorb. It had to come out of me somehow, or I would have exploded and died. There was no possible way to know he had an infinite energy supply." he said in a really defensive tone. I guessed he was not used to not being able to take the bad guys down. They were supposed to be the elite warriors of the island. "I am just glad you both are alright. Everyone pulled their weight in a hard battle, so we all can be proud of the results."

Zeta chuckled and said "If you're that impressed, you could lend me that ass of your's tonight." I rolled my eyes. "Save all that talk for when you take a monster like that single handed." I shot back. He flinched and said "Really sure about that!? I was kidding. That is a crazy thing to ask." I shrugged. Bantering aside, they were very large assets. They were some of the strongest characters in the game- certainly in this region of the map. They should not be allowed to die so soon. It did seem like I was getting closer to Zeta. Eta was still angry at Morgan. That was fine because I was planning of swapping the knights out for more of the Protectors- Special Ops. That is the most optimal party I could get. I would not be able to do that until the crusade calmed down a bit so that we could gather in one place. While I was thinking about it we rode right into an ambush of enemy soldiers. We hopped off the horses and began to fight them. The waves of determined enemies did not seem to end even after we had killed 35 of them. Even though they were weak, it still took some time to dispatch them.

I was getting impatient. That also made me more cruel in my attacks. "This is getting annoying." I groaned after beheading another one of them. The three knights were getting tired as well. We were still two more days to the border. It was going to take much longer than the trip to get here. It was due to the constant breaks to fight. Zeta and Eta had not broke a single sweat and were looking ahead. "We can get out that way if we hurry." Eta said as he pointed through a gap in the approaching groups. It was big enough that we could get through if we moved immediately. Zeta nodded at the assessment and quickly pushed me on the horse. "Hold on to me. We're riding hard and fast, so you better not fall off!" Zeta demanded. I did so, and we rode out of there. It was a bit further to the border as we were chased along the paved roads. I looked as we broke through the gap. Having broken all of their assault, I smirked at them. That did not mean we were out of the woods. We dodged and repelled the arrows of our pursuers. The group was able to lose them and we continued on until we got to the border.
