Now that we had the cathedral under on our control, the warscore went up an insane ammont. We took over the cathedral, defeated many of the faitful and clergy, killed a resurrected saint, and destroyed a relic. It was worth a staggering 20% of warscore. Even before the battle, the surrounding fight had raised the score to 52%. Now, it was all the way up to 78%. That was going well for us. Depending on the diplomacy of the king, we might even be able to see a white peace. That would be fine with me in all honesty. As long as we did not lose, I would probably be getting that promotion to Master. Because I was a secondary war goal for my crimes and the country had not fallen to any seiges yet, warscore was slowly rising. I could only hope it kept going up and up. My party and religion just needed to run out the clock. We were in hostile foreign soil at the moment and that meant that we all could be taken out at anytime. Even though we conquered it, there was nothing to stop a military force from coming in and ousting us. That would certainly lower the warscore really far.

I focused on clearing the corpses from the cathedral and got things ready. Atkin and Bridget stood at the pulpit and purified the altar. They then made the first Mass in the cathedral. It was good to hear them. I then said "We'd be fools if we left the town undefended now. That means we're going to need to stay here." Eta was doing his very best while still recovering from the blowback from using his seal. Zeta had been taking care of him. Sir Morgan was standing watch and being vigilant. We had to go door to door and forcibly convert the survivors in the town. It was not something that I wanted to do, but it had to be done. We were in the town for the next in-game week. It was very tense and nerve racking. The dancers made their second Mass and we attended. After the service, we all got an encouraging letter from Ollie. He praised us as a general would, and told us that he was sending me a force to relieve us. They were a platton of knights. It was 6 full parties of 6 would be coming in a few days. There was a bit of fraying at the edges until they got here. I was getting stressed out.

Relieved, I wanted to get out the town as soon as possible. I left Atkin and Bridget and that left two spots in the party. Morgan saw his two friends from his village. After a moment of looking at them catch up, I recognized them as two of the ones that were with me when I killed the necromancer. Sir Colby was the one that was struck blind in the dungeon. Sir Dolyn was the one that was made numb. I decided to take them with me and we left the town soon after. They were all pretty chatty as we rode out. I was on Zeta's horse. Zeta smirked and said "You want me to let you rind in front so I can take care of you? I'll let you, if you really want it." I played along and said "I'd rather watch that manly back of yours as we ride. It might remind me of that window." The new knights looked at me in confusion. Morgan blused red and pulled them both closer to let them in. The knights looked at both Zeta and Eta in disbelief. Eta just glared at them. Zeta gave me a soft swat to the ass before getting on the beast. I climbed on after him with some help. After that, we rode back to the shrine.
