With that clear of a mandate, there really was no helping it. I jumped over to them and healed them on the spot. They felt at their wounds and saw it had closed. I handed my two children off to them and said "I hope that you made the right order. For your sake, at least." I transformed into my male form. The whole room was shocked. I took out my jian and ran to them. I began slaughtering everyone that was drawing their weapons. When they were all dead and gone, I moved on to those clan members that were still standing aside. They went down easily, and I had no mercy for them. Even if they begged for mercy like a dog, I stabbed them and moved on to the next one. I did the same for the others as well. The next group to go were the servants that were cowering in the corner in fear. There were only a few. I then stalked towards a very terrified Hua Mei. She backed up with her eyes wide. She was clutching her children. I only smirked at them. "Monster! You're a demon! You will not get away with any of this! Our clans will avenge us." I beheaded her for her great disloyalty to the throne.

She fell back dead and the children cried from the jostling. I brought my blade up and brought it down. I impaled Crown Prince Tai. He died instantly. I then lifted my jian's blade to do the same with Yi. "What are you doing!? I trusted you, Yawen! You just killed my son! Stop it!" he said as he ran up to me. He just shoved me out the way and scooped the princess in his arms. I pointed my sword and said "You asked for this. You said kill them all. I did as you asked. Hang your head in shame." Wang Wuying slapped me and said "How dare you!? You might be an angel, but you don't have a right to speak that way to your emperor." I looked at her and smiled. "I think that you are a good mother. Be a good grandmother to my children as well." She narrowed her eyes and said "If the heavens have sent you to us, I will not question my duties as a mother or grandmother." I then looked at Wang Jing and knelt to him. "Emperor Wang Jing. What shall we do? We have a few options but they can not be turned back once we start." He looked at his mother before he looked back at me. She shrugged.

He asked what the options were. I stood and cleared my throat. Even I had to wrap my head around the situation. "To recap the situation: the Hua, Huli, Mao, Tang, and the Long clans have plotted this coup and they all lay here dead on the ground. We need to decided now how we handle it. Once the news gets out, there is no turning back." He nodded and Wuying held onto his shoulder. "We can declare them traitors, but if they could put you on the throne, it is not a stretch to imagine they could take you off of it. Luckily, the threat of a counter coup died with Ai and her daughter. The factions that supported them can't rally behind them. This was proabably why they killed them here as well. Unless you are confident on imperial armies strength and loyalty, we can't take this. The second option is to reframe the narrative. The dead can not come back to life, but we can use them as pawns. I think a story where the jealous Ai went mad and killed everyone with her daughter might be believed by the people. No one in any authority would believe it, but it will give us time to amass support."

I had more ideas to share. "The third option would be to send me out in this form as an assassin and kill all the members of the clans discreetly. It will take me time and it might only work once or twice before they catch on. In the meantime we would need to make new, alliances and get them ready to fight for the throne if needed. The fourth option is to throw everything into chaos. No human could have done this and no one expects their plans to fail so spectacularly. If we had a "mystery killer", it might keep them on the back foot long enough to find ways to take power from them." Wang Wuying said "The Feng, Lai and Kong clans were neutral in the civil war. It was a daring assassination that gave us the final victory. The Hua clan took on the mission." "That is our start, then. We reach out to them and bring them on side. Once we have them, we will have a stable base to leverage. Getting rid of the other clans would be good as well." I agreed with a nod. I then looked at Wang Jing and knelt. "What will you choose? Your mother and I will be the sword and sheild to your throne." I said.
