She nodded and clung to Wang Jing. He was startled, but held her back. "I was saying that we should throw a party when Mei's baby is born. They will recieve the crown after the ceremony." he said. I nodded and said "I will bring my children along as well." Wang Jing nodded and said "I look forward to it." The rest of the party was really fun. When I went on the path to my home, I saw that there were many people that wanted me dead. The Mao clan certainly did. A large group of assassins appeared to prove that fact to me. I butchered them and went back to the house. The next few days were quiet. I played with the housemates and looked after my babies. Having the group around so close made me feel at ease. I was not leveling anymore, but I was already stronger than all the NPCs around me. No one posed any threat to me or anyone remotely close to me. Analim was also pretty strong. He did not have the temperment, but he could actually kill whole armies by himself if he wanted to as well. I would be sad if that had to happen to him though. Analim was a real fallen throne afterall.
I asked if he was okay. His wings were still a very dark gray. It was better than the pure black it used to be. That was always good to hear. I spent time around waiting for the ceremony to begin. It was three weeks from then. I was able to bring the children with me to the ceremony. I was given special periwinkle outfits that would cover up all their exoskeletons and spinnerets. That was good. When we saw Hua Mei, she had given birth to twins. The propensity of twins ran strong in the patrilineal line of the family. Tai and Yi were healthy and cute. It took a few days for her recuperation. When that happened, it was time for the crowning ceremony. It was very ominous and official and we all moved to a special room in the palace. The crown was placed on the head of Prince Tai. Princess Yi was held by her mother and I had both of mine on my lap. I offered my congradulations to them before I turned and went back to my home. Wang Jing felt that he wanted to spend time with all four of his children. I wanted to bring them back home. I could not keep them from their father, so I agreed. He smiled.
The reception afterwards was pretty nice. I did not eat much and I drank some nice wine. Wang Jing came over and lifted Zhizhu and then Hong up and laughed at them enjoying themselves. Wang Wuying came over to meet her grandchildren as well. Hua, Huli, Mao, Tang, and Long clan members were there to celebrate as well. Jing's sister was missing. "She was feeling ill. Chuan Song, her husband, sent their regards." he said when I asked him about it. Ai and her daughter were also in attendance. I saw them walk around and talk amongst themselves. They did not look happy. I know that I would not be if in their position. After an hour, Hua Mei stood and said "I give my regards to my husband." We all clapped and she said "Now that the future is secured, it is time to move to the new age of the empire!" A man walked up to Ai and her daughter. He took out a dagger and slit the daughter's throat. Ai screamed in horror before being stabbed repeatedly in the chest. I got up from the table and took the hands of Wang Jing and took our children. "What is going on!?" he demanded.
Hua Mei just smiled and said "There is no need for any other empresses besides me in the new age." Wang Wuying creamed as she was roughly dragged backwards by her hair. Wang Jing chased after them only to be stabbed in the side by someone else. He howled in pain and cried on the ground. A man came to me and tried to attack me, but I just dodged them. I had the children in my arms afterall. "You might be a fighter, but you can't kill everyone while you protect your children. You will die." Wuying was stabbed as she broke free from the assailant. She went to her son to check on him. "Mother! All you alright!?" he asked. It was a very serious wound. "I'm so sorry for this, Jing. I wish I had seen this earlier. We will be avvenged one day by Heaven." she said as she pulled him close. He looked at me and said "What are you waiting for!? Do something!" I smirked and said "I am. I am currently defending the life of two of your sons. What else would you like me to do? Speak it clearly and know you can't afford to leave any doubts." "Yawen... no, Dabriel. Kill them all!" he yelled.
