It really hurt him. Alex was saving for a well deserved vacation abroad. He wanted to go down to the Marshal Islands. Digging into his savings would set him back, but he could not let the three stay in jail. There would be a full refund after the case was closed, but he was loathe to give it up to chance that they would go to court on their court date. "I'll fucking make them go. I'll use the app if I fucking have to, god damnit!" he muttered as they were ushered away by the bailiffs. They pled not guilty and their trial would be in a month. Alex went to the office where he was supposed to pay and wrote a check from his savings account. It pissed him off the whole time. When he was done, the clerk said "Everything looks to be in order. I'll make sure this gets in the system so they can be released by tomorrow afternoon." Alex nodded and left the courthouse. That was all he needed to do for the day and he was already tired. "They better thank me for this shit!" he muttered as he made his way down the street to the crosswalk. He was thinking of making a call to hand out with someone. It would be fun.
Alex would have to get back home for the burner phone. That was a pretty big downside. He decided to go walking around and see what happened. Having all day to the pursuit of entertainment, he went to the movie theatre to see what was out. He could see that there was a rom com. He went in to see it after looking at the poster. It had an actor that he enjoyed in the leading role. Paying all the bail for those three made him pretty irritated and he needed to relax. It seemed to work and Alex was much more positive as he left the theatre. He then went over to his apartment. Since he had been in the courtroom, he had some material to write about. "I might as well write an article on it." he said to himself as he walked up the stairs. When he got inside, he got out his laptop and began typing. It was a small article that was really a recap of the case with the bail information. He also added that some of the gangsters involved in the incident were already going to be out on bail. That would give him quite a bit of credibility when it was checked out. He sent it off after looking through it for grammar errors.
