Alex realized that he still did not know when and where his friends were being taken. He picked his burner phone and saw all the new numbers he had gotten. He saved the new contacts before calling the police station. Their receptionist sent him directly to the PR officer. The officer walked him trough the process and the address of where he needed to be. Alex knew better than show his hand and tell him why he wanted to know about the court date. "Thank you for the run down. I'm going to be there to cover the proceedings." he said. He then hung up and went to sleep. He needed his rest to make sure he okay to bail his friends out of jail. Otherwise who knew what could happen. Alex got undressed and laid down in his soft bed. He woke up with his alarm in the morning and groaned. It was the time he would normally need to be getting up to get ready for work. Instead, he would need to get to the courthouse and wait until they got their hearing for bail. All Alex could do was hope they did not get into any trouble while they were locked up in the precinct. It would make things worse.
The call to his shift manager was not pleasant. He wanted to know where he was going and what he was doing. "It's a family emergency. I can't come in today." Alex said for the third time. "Fine then. But don't expect that raise you were asking for." his boss snapped at him before hanging up on Alex. All he could do was sigh as he got into the shower and got ready. Inside of the courtroom was spacious with several rows of wooden benches. Alex was wearing a blue anime wig that he had bought at a convention and reading glassed picked up from the local pharmacy. He was waiting for the prisoners to be seen by the judge. He could see the four of them sitting with all the other Clovers that got caught. Mark, Leo and Toby got off easy with a misdemeanor battery against a peace officer and a possession of a loaded weapon. Leo had some cocaine on him at the time and he got another charge tacked on. That came to 4,000 for Leo and 1500 for the others. He did not have that much money on hand at the moment. At most he could only take two with him. But who?
