I went over to the prone form of Cody and oozed over his head. He was still conscious and he cried out in surprise and fear. "What the hell is this!?" he said out loud as he tried to pull it off. That was not going to work. Since I was a symbiote, I could easily communicate telepathically to a host I was using. 'Calm down already. I am a very helpful thing. I want to help you get back at those bullies.' I told him. He lurched forward as he tried to run and instead crashed back into the dirt. I sighed and said 'Just wait until you're ready and stand up on your own two feet.' He took several deep breaths. "Okay Cody. You can do this. An alien is talking to you right now. You can handle this." he said out loud as he nervously got to his feet. When he did, I said 'I think it's time to go back to class. You were down for awhile. "Shut up. How are you going to help me get revenge?" Once I grow big enough, it would be easier. For now, I can mask your identity so you can do whatever you want without getting caught. It is a start. How do like that idea?' He smiled and said "I like it a lot. When do we start?"
When I shifted into a spider head over his face, it was very thin and only covered above the Nostrils. He ran his hands over his mouth. 'I'm really sorry. I'm going to need to get more more mass if we're going to have full facial coverage.' "Alright. So what powers do you have? I'm a common." I could use my venom, but that would require fangs. Shifting to his lower jaw would reveal him and that would be bad. I said 'I see. I think revenge is going to have to wait. I really need more before I can help.' "Okay... how do you get more mass." he asked. 'I drain energy from people and animals. If I was able to do that, I could grow enough to grant you some power.' Cody looked at me with determination and said "You can take it from me. I don't care anymore. As long as I can get those assholes, I'll do anything." I explained how I could drain some energy from him if I his in his socks. He looked a bit nervous but let me do it anyway. At least he had the courage to back up his desires. I respected him for that. I entered his socks and drained him for the rest of the school day. It felt good.
After three and a half hours, I had doubled in size to 146.25 grams. I was at the mass cap so I had to split. I warned him and waited until he gave the okay for me to go up his outer thigh and around his waist to the other leg. I could tell that he was doing his best to keep his eyes open. He was drained during the night, beaten and then drained again. I had pity on him and told him I was taking a break. He sighed in relief despite himself and left the school with his twin. I got to level three and I knew I had to go to the venom and see what I could do. I put the point in venom to at least start the ball rolling on the plan. Widow Spider Venom caused paralysis in insects. The human body is too big and complex to be affected aside from some pain in the area of the bite. They could recover fairly quickly, especially with treatment. I was going to need to drain more energy to make more levels to add more skill points. Once I could make a powerful enough toxin in my bites, I would be in a good place. As we were passing a pharmacy, I told Cody to buy some. He got two 32 oz. mason jars at a bargain.
