I chose the hivemind option. I then had the second clone go and drain Cody on the top bunk. Since we were now bigger, we took longer to reach our limits. By the time the twins woke up four hours later, Both of us were 67.5 grams. That was only slightly heaver than a C battery. I retreated as they began to stir. I went over to where their matching jackets were in the closet and slipped myself into the inner pockets. They took us with them to school after they got dressed. The two were tired and sluggish. It was clear they were not well rested. Dustin had the worst of it though. All the draining I did got me to level 2. That gave me a new skill point to allocate. There was also still one left from the day before. I put one of them into Shapeshift. This put me at 6 and I could not only flawlessly copy the shape of the form I took, but now I could even begin to mimic its abilities. Seeing that, there was no way I would not put the last one in as well. Now I could produce webbing and produce a weak venom. The venom also unlocked a separate tree full of interesting upgrades. I needed to continue leveling.
The twins put their jackets up in their lockers. There was not much to do except follow them. I had one clone stay behind and I followed from the ceiling. When they got to their classroom, I situated myself in the back corner of the room. I went unnoticed. I followed the twins until lunchtime. They made a quick stop at their lockers to get their things settled and their wallets to pay for lunch. Cody fiddled with a piece of paper that fell out. As they got to the cafeteria, Cody made a hard turn to the right. That seemed to be out of character as his twin did a double take. "Where the hell are you going!?" Dustin asked. Cody said "I need to go somewhere. I found a note in my locker." Cody then continued walking. I decided to follow him. It seemed more interesting then watching them eat. As he left the building entirely, I had to scale the wall to follow from a distance. There was an apple blossom tree at the far side of the campus. Cody waited their for a few minutes before three boys showed up. I went the long way around and snuck in the grass until I was able to climb the tree. I could watch over him.
One of the boys said "Waiting for someone?" in a knowing voice. Cody looked away and said "No. I... just like the view from here." He was nervous around them. The boys laughed and the one that addressed him before just smirked and said "Max isn't coming you know!" Cody balled his fists and said "What did you do to him!? Just leave us alone." The one that was the leader said "We can't. Not only are you a fag, but you had to like a cat of all people. What is everyone else going to think if they see commons going out with cats." He then did a fake retching movement. "Max was the only one to help me when I needed a friend. You don't get to tell me who I can and can't like." Cody snapped in anger. "So you admit you like him, then?" the third boy said with crossed arms. Cody covered his mouth in shock but it was way too late for that. The cat was out of the bag, so to speak. The three bullies then chased him down and beat him. They each got their punches and kicks in before they left, but not before spitting on him and laughing. Cody was left bloody and bruised. I saw a chance.
