The book suddenly glowed, shocking her, similar to what she'd felt last night. Sarah dropped the book in surprise. After a moment, she reached down and picked it up, frowning at it for a moment, before putting it in her bag. "Weird," she mumbled. She walked out of the room quietly.
Holly Simpson had hurried out of the room and was nearly back to the lunchroom when she suddenly had a change of heart. She hadn't done this on purpose...but abandoning Sarah wasn't fair either. Holly turned around and started to head back in the opposite direction. She spotted Sarah heading down the hall. She approached her. "Sarah?"
Sarah looked startled. "You...know my name?" She asked, in a soft voice. She seemed to get smaller, as she hunched her shoulders a bit.
"What?" Holly asked, confused. "You're Sarah McMillan, aren't you?"
"Yes..." her eyes looked around, as if to wonder if this was some sort of joke.
"Do you know who I am?"
"Yeah..." Sarah said. "Holly Simpson...you're the most popular girl in school."
"No...that's you..." Holly said, still confused.
Sarah looked at her. "I...just moved here," she said.
Holly frowned. What was she going to do now?
