When a courier came to my door, I was cautious as I let him in. He gave me a note and bowed his head. I read the note and was shocked at what it said. The priests of the Gristomales's temple wrote to in form me that Daniel had died in Fishbourne. "Normally, it is custom for any commoner that had died to be buried in the settlement they had died in. However, there are other considerations. His and your misdeeds and crimes against not only the servants of Gristomales's temple, but Fishbourne itself have not been forgotten. He won't be buried here." Continuing, it said "If it were not for your status, we would leave the body to rot on a pike outside the gates. In order to not provoke attack from forces beyond our means to repel, we will allow the body to be taken to where he can find repose." I sighed and cursed under my breath. I would have to go get it. Better yet, I could assign some squires to get it as a quest. Rank 4 members of a organization could do that. It was honestly the best choice. I had to send out more letters to inform everyone about the news.

News spread far and wide quickly. Because the church was in the city, I could tell them in purpose. They spread it to other people. The buzz of excitement was very high considering what was happening. A fallen paladin being buried in the city. It was the first time a ceremony of the type would be done in the city. It was not the first for the game and certainly not for the country due to the tournament. They mayor came to talk to me to go through the ceremony. It would be a solemn Mass and everyone would have a day to say goodbye to him. Depending on the body, it could be open or closed casket. The next day, the mayor would give a speech and then I would as the closest to him. Others could also speak if they wanted to. Six pallbearers would then carry the casket through the streets to the city's noble crypt. The clergy, the mayor and the speakers would then process after the casket. It was awesome sounding. That would then be his final resting place. It was a good send of for someone who had started as a street urchin thieves guild recruit.

The body arrived a few days later. Daniel had been run through from behind with a large sword. When I hear the report from the squires, I knew it was Agent XVIII. He must have decided to go to Fishbourne after I escaped. If he saw Daniel fleeing here, he would kill him on sight. He said that when he ambushed me. Daniel choice the worst time to flee Wishbone. "How unlucky can you be?" I said to myself. With that aside, I went back to my house to get my most official armor and uniform. The news would be sent out and the Mass would take place in two days. In the meantime, the body needed to be purified again, dressed, transfered to a more fitting coffin, and laid with the roses of his rank. As a standard bearer, he would be buried with red white and ivory roses. Some would be in the coffin and others would be part of a wreath on top as well. Chien, Chat, Abel and Leon were in my manor waiting. They arrived the day before. I was also hosting Dame Glenda. Many of the paladins of the Church of the Seven Roses of the country were going to attend. Some from abroad were coming as well.
